Digital Wireless Communication Hardware Co-Simulation (DWCHCS) / Haider Aurangzeb, Usama Kabir, Shahzeb Hashmat, Zain Ali. - MCS, NUST Rawalpindi 2024 - 62 p

Digital communication systems are pivotal in today's world, yet undergraduates often struggle to understand them fully. Traditional teaching methods prioritize theory over practical application. Our project aims to provide students with hands-on experience in implementing digital communication blocks. With Adalm Pluto hardware and GNU Radio software, students will engage in practical experimentation. This approach facilitates a deeper understanding of concepts like source coding and modulation techniques. The first phase of our methodology focuses on learning the theoretical concepts while the second phase covers the practical application. Some of the core goals of the project can be stated as follows: Students should be able to demonstrate working wireless communication prototypes, receive digital signals from specific sources, and retrieve the information contained in these messages. It develops the skills that are relevant to the current digital communication and signal processing fields as well as engineering challenges that will face the learners in the future.
