500 ## - GENERAL NOTE
General note Implantation in the human body plays a vital role in continuing life without someone's support. It
urges us to spend life according to our way. This research aims to implement the implantation
physically in human beings and thus instead of metals which have gained already most of the
intentions and led to much costly and failure due to corrosion or defects, polymers such as
Polylactic Acid have been introduced in the world of materials due to their availability and are
approachable to anyone with no side effects. The cubic Unit cell (CUC) was taken with fixed
dimensions and the porosities were changed and an infill density of 35%, 30%, and 25% were
taken, keeping the 65%, 70%, and 75% structure of the unit cell (UC) porous and thus different
optimized designed models were introduced and strength of the UCs were calculated for each
model. The purpose was to check the effect of making the CUCs edgeless and then the impact of
yield point on these models whether they are stronger or weaker than the normal ones. The results
were effective and an improvement factor in edgeless CUCs was observed. An improvement of
9.7% for 75% porosity and an improvement of 3.2% for 70% were observed while the models with
65% porosity remained unchanged.
