Smart Logistics System is a traffic management system built using Radio Frequency Identification Technology to help monitor and balance the flow of traffic at the entrances and exits of gateways, motorway toll plazas, cities and housing societies. It is a modern adaption of the conventional M-tag technology as it uses Wi-Fi and ESP 32 to provide real time information about daily traffic trends of the designated areas. SLS has been created with an idea of common people and a supposed security feature for vehicle logistics in urban as well as rural areas. The system brings few modern changes to the already existing solutions of traffic monitoring systems by giving direct access to a system admin, reducing unnecessary manual labor and service cost. The current data repository by traffic management authorities is operated manually but with SLS the system gets automated. The system is based on a four-layered architecture, which allows for scalability and flexibility. The system is divided into dependable modules which are mapped on different layers in this 4-layer architecture. In this system, some modules are located on the same machine, some run on browser and some on desktop environment. The system has two human interfaces, and user interface and an admin interface. SLS has gone through rigorous testing to make it usable for both the admin and the end user. The system uses a common IoT platform to increase availability while keeping the cost down. The system is reliable, accurate, secure to use and implement in areas where monitoring of vehicles and theft control are needed.
